Sony Biotechnology SY3200 Sorter
The Sony SY3200 cell sorter can collect up to 4 populations simultaneously or be programmed to deposit into multiwell culture plates. Acquisition rates up to 100,000 events per second (eps); sorting up to 70,000 eps with over 99% purity. Integrated with a Class II Biological Safety Cabinet. A collection of optional optical filters supports additional assays, such as Hoechst 33342-based side population for functional detection and sorting of (cancer) stem cells.
Frequently used fluorophores include:
- UV laser (355 nm): U377 (BUV395*), U525 (LIVE/DEAD Aqua*)
- Violet laser (405 nm): V445 (BV421), V610 (BV605), V775 (BV785*)
- Blue laser (488 nm): B525 (FITC), B695 (PerCP-Cy5.5)
- Yellow-green laser (561 nm): Y585 (PE), Y615 (PE-CF594), Y775 (PE-Cy7)
- Red (642 nm): R665 (APC), R720 (AF700), R775 (APC-Cy7)
*12-color panels designed for the LSR II using LIVE/DEAD Aqua (UV525) and BV785 (V775) can be sorted on the SY3200 without modification, or with an additional UV-excited fluorochrome such as BUV395 (U377).
